Hey guys? How are you? I hope this post finds you well and sound.
I recently went into town to buy some utilities for the house and was amazed by what I saw. No one was wearing a mask, veronica buckets were empty and social distancing was not practised.
“Will life go back to normal any time soon?” I thought. Though the virus still exists and as of now, we’re past 16,000 confirmed cases, it’s business as usual.
This made me worried, as it seemed like the spread could only get worse. It’s like we’re in June 2019 and not 2020.
Will life ever go back to normal if no one seems to care about the spread? As I drove around my area, I counted less than 10 people wearing masks.
It would be different if not wearing a mask would only affect you and you alone, but in this case, it affects everyone around you. If you have the virus, you will spread it and change someone’s life forever.
I wonder if people process it this way, or is it simply human ignorance or selfishness? You tell me.
It’s a sad reality we live in, because if we all came together and practised the appropriate measures, we’d be out of this as fast as we got in.
I WANT TO GO TO THE BEACH, MAN! But I can’t because the spread doesn’t seem to be stopping any time soon… Ugh
If you’re reading this and don’t practise the proper measures to slow down the spread, please do, because we will all face the consequences of your actions.
It’s estimated that the virus will stay with us for about 18 months, and I can’t stand to think of that. This period has made me realise a lot of things about the life I would like to live, and I’m doing what I can to work towards that, but it’d be much easier to do so without these restrictions…
So for the sake of the entire population, please wear a mask, please practice social distancing, please wash your hands and sanitize. We all want to go back into a COVID-19 free world, but it’s a team effort.
This blog is like a diary to me. I write what I feel, what happens in my life and how I deal with it. This post may be a downer or may even make you, the reader, frustrated. But such is life… It’s full of ups and downs, frustrations and jubilations.
Sorry if this post has evoked such emotions, but if it makes one person practise the safety precautions, I guess it’s worth it, right?

FInally someone who’s noticed how people are behaving and asking questions! People need to realise that its a pandemic and therefore can be spread. I just want it to end 😦

I asked my brother a question similar to this yesterday. Honestly, I don’t want to think about it. This is an eye opener for us. Who would have thought the long awaited 2020 will be like this? 😭😭

In my area, 4 out of every 10 people you come across are wearing masks but 3 out of the 4 are either wearing it below their nose or below their mouth and even worse, across their forehead…. It’s rather disturbing cos most of them aren’t likely to even have sanitizers on them and would end up giving the virus to lots of vulnerable people and escape themselves. A market place had no water in the Veronica bucket, A pharmacy couldn’t put at least one sanitizer outside for incoming customers etc etc… The whole COVID19 prevention protocol here is a total muddle…. I pray people get wiser and with more awareness posts like these, they straighten up. Thank you.

It’s crazy that this doesn’t phase me anymore. It’s become the new normal🤦🏾♀️ I guess the only thing you can do is protect yourself, right?🤷🏾♀️
